Bio
Nicasio Gonzalez is a full-stack product builder and a platform product manager at Dell Technologies. He owns the catalog, taxonomy and specification systems behind roughly 570,000 offers on Dell’s consumer and commercial storefronts. He is now moving those systems to a new commerce platform as part of Dell’s enterprise-wide ERP migration.
He started on the customer side. After studying advertising and radio-television-film at the University of Texas at Austin, he joined NXP Semiconductors in product marketing and brought the first microcontroller-based Alexa voice client to market. At Dell he ran merchandising and then product experience operations, managing launches and storefront content across dozens of categories and countries, before moving to the platform team in 2023. Having spent years downstream of the catalog, he knows what bad data costs the teams who have to work with it.
He works the same way on every project. Before proposing anything, he learns the full workflow: who touches the work, what they do at each step, and where it breaks down. The details are where he adds the most value, because the right solution usually depends on something nobody thought to mention. He builds the rules into the system from the start, because a tool that replaces manual work gets abandoned the first time it’s wrong. And when he replaces an old system, he makes sure the job numbers, records and habits people depend on carry over.
Outside Dell, he builds his own tools. For his family’s civil engineering firm in Laredo, he used Claude Code and Cursor to build TSE Tracker, which replaced an Access database and manual spreadsheets for jobs, invoicing and collections. He wrote the specs, tested it with the office staff, and kept changing it until it fit how they worked. Invoice creation now takes 90% less time.
Next, he wants to get better at the parts of building that AI can’t do for him: information architecture, data modeling and rapid prototyping. Those skills are behind both his work at Dell and TSE Tracker. Now that writing code is the easy part, he sees them as the core of building good products.
How I work
Principles
- 01
Measure what matters
Established a weekly Adobe Analytics practice instrumenting conversion drop-off and customer intent; click-through +15% MoM against it.
- 02
Gate on quality
UAT quality gates on the three-app migration (300+ defects closed in six months); a required pre-launch content gate on 40–50 launches a year cut repeat content issues 50% YoY.
- 03
Prototype with real users
TSE Tracker: working software in front of non-technical users early, changed on what they did, not what they said they wanted.
- 04
Govern, don't hand-author
Rules-driven specification capability (380 rules, 29,597 parts, 10 core classifications) took hand-authoring away from governance and operations teams.

Dell Technologies
Commerce Platform Product Manager
Jan 2023 – PresentRound Rock, TXIntroduced a rules-driven specification system across Dell’s product structures, which took manual authoring off governance and operations teams and applies shared taxonomy logic to each new configuration. Replaced manual logging with a two-way Salesforce integration for quality tickets, and gave leadership a dashboard of operations team productivity. Set up user-acceptance quality gates on a multi-application platform migration, working with engineering to close defects and raise internal user satisfaction. Introduced personalized product relevance models that lifted storefront conversion and became the template for later personalization work. Moved global product listing pages onto a real-time data enrichment platform, improving conversion and navigation engagement. Restarted a stalled content syndication project with an external vendor by reframing it around what customers see, which gave the work clear urgency and an owner.
Dell Technologies
Product Experience Operations Lead
Aug 2021 – Dec 2022RemoteRan the required pre-launch content review for product launches with go-to-market, product line and merchandising teams, and standardized it across monitor and accessory launches, cutting repeat content issues. Raised customer satisfaction across US and Canada categories by restructuring navigation, homepage architecture and category entry points. Built a weekly Adobe Analytics practice that tracks conversion drop-off and customer intent, and used it to grow click-through. Consolidated consumer and small-business landing pages across multiple countries onto a single content model.
Dell Technologies
Online Product Merchandising Manager
Mar 2020 – Aug 2021RemoteNegotiated partner goals from Microsoft, Samsung, Sony, and Adobe against Dell's merchandising strategy across 10+ brand stores, client-facing throughout.
